Zirconia veneer is the most durable and most opaque type of veneer. The material is yttria-stabilised zirconium dioxide (Y-TZP) with a strength of 900–1,200 MPa. Unlike classic E-max veneers, zirconia veneers are thicker and opaque, so they completely mask the underlying tooth shade, stains, cracks or restoration remnants. This makes them ideal for teeth darkened after root canal treatment, tetracycline-stained teeth, anterior teeth discoloured after trauma or teeth darkened by old amalgam restorations. Tooth preparation is minimal (0.5–0.8 mm) — far less invasive than classic crown work. Fabricated with modern CAD/CAM technology: digital intraoral scan (Trios, iTero), computer-aided smile design, milling on a 5-axis machine, firing in a high-temperature sintering oven, aesthetic staining and polishing. Fabrication time: 5–7 days. Ideal for: aesthetic correction of dark teeth, intensive smile design projects, multiple veneers (a full set of 8–10 anterior teeth) and zones under mechanical load (premolar zone).
