Standard tooth extraction is the painless and minimally traumatic removal of teeth whose roots are fully visible and which cannot be saved due to decay or trauma. At BadamDent, extraction is always considered the last resort — every possibility of saving the tooth is explored first. Only when the tooth genuinely cannot be restored or further treatment is hopeless is extraction chosen. Modern local anaesthetics (Ultracain DS Forte, Septanest) make the procedure completely painless — the patient feels only mild pressure. Our surgeon uses fine luxators and elevators to gently separate the tooth from the periodontal ligament, then carefully delivers it with forceps using controlled movements. This approach preserves the surrounding bone as much as possible — critical for any future implant or prosthesis. After extraction the socket is thoroughly inspected, any infection is removed and, if needed, bone-substitute material is placed (socket preservation) to prevent bone resorption. The wound is sutured and a gauze tampon is applied. Detailed written aftercare instructions are provided: what to do and not do during the first 24 hours and which medications to take. The procedure takes 15–30 minutes. Healing typically lasts 5–7 days. We follow up by phone within 24 hours to check on your condition.
