Simple braces (metal) are the most reliable, time-tested and accessible solution for orthodontic problems. They have been the foundation of global orthodontics for decades. Modern mini-metal brackets (Mini Diamond, Mini Master, Roth, MBT prescription) are 30–40% smaller and more comfortable than previous generations, touch the tongue and cheeks less and make hygiene easier. Material: high-quality stainless steel or titanium alloy. Treatment protocol: thorough orthodontic diagnostics (panoramic film, cephalometric analysis, clinical examination, intraoral scan or alginate impressions, photo protocol), computer-aided treatment planning (Insignia or similar systems), bracket placement using direct or indirect bonding (45–60 minutes), sequential changes of orthodontic archwires (NiTi, Stainless Steel, TMA) — gradually moving the teeth into the correct position. Activation visits every 4–6 weeks (15–30 minutes). Treatment time 12–24 months depending on complexity. The simple system uses classic elastic ligatures (in various colours — teenagers love them). After treatment a retention phase (retainer) is always recommended. Ideal for: teenagers (13+ years), budget-conscious adults and complex orthodontic situations (offering stronger tooth movement than aesthetic systems).
